It is recommended that you close all other open browser windows before continuing with the installation. Click the Install Now button to automatically download and install Macromedia Flash Player into Microsoft Internet Explorer. Depending on your security settings, you may see a Security Warning dialog box. Click Install to install the ActiveX control. When the installation is complete, you will see the Macromedia Flash Player logo and text.

Note:

Macromedia Flash Player 8 for Mac OS X requires the Mac OS X 10.1 or later operating system from Apple, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 (version 3408) or later, or Netscape 6.2 or later browser versions. If you do not have either version of the browser or operating system, use the Apple Software Update application within OS X. You can also go to the respective companies' websites to update your software.

1. Installation of Macromedia Flash Player may require administrative access to your PC, which is normally provided by your IT department. For the installation to succeed, you will be asked to close all open browser windows during the installation.

2. Click the download link to begin installation. A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the Installer.

3. Save the Installer to your desktop, and wait for it to download completely.

4. An Installer icon will appear on your desktop. Double-click on it.

5. Read and click through the dialog boxes. You will be prompted to close all open browser windows to continue with the installation.

6. When the Install button appears, click it to install Macromedia Flash Player into your browser's plug-ins folder.

7. Your web browser will launch a new window. When the installation is complete, you will see the Macromedia Flash Player logo and text.
